Responsibilities:

  • Design, Build, and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and optimize continuous integration and delivery workflows to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery.

  • Establish and Promote DevOps Best Practices: Define and advocate for DevOps standards across the organization, fostering collaboration and consistency.

  • Documentation and Training: Create clear, comprehensive documentation and provide training sessions to enhance DevOps knowledge within the engineering organization.

  • Collaborative Partnerships: Build and nurture strong working relationships within and across engineering teams to align on technical goals.

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee and improve infrastructure performance, security, and cost-efficiency across environments.

  • Lead Technical Initiatives: Drive major technical projects, such as platform migrations, cloud adoption, or the introduction of new tools and technologies.

  • Enhance Production Systems: Continuously improve the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of production systems to support business growth.

  • Roadmap Alignment: Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to align DevOps initiatives with organizational goals and roadmaps.

  • SRE Responsibilities: Monitor production systems, respond to incidents, handle alerts, and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure high system availability.

  • Operational Excellence: Define and implement standards and policies for high-performance, secure, and reliable operations.

  • Security Awareness: Maintain a proactive approach to security, addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with best practices.

  • On-Call Leadership: Take ownership of on-call responsibilities, ensuring swift incident resolution and robust system uptime.

  • Stay Current: Research and adopt emerging technologies and trends to keep the organization at the forefront of DevOps practices.

Skills & Competencies:

Experience and Expertise:

  • 5+ years in DevOps roles with a proven track record of driving impactful initiatives.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services, Terraform (and Terraform Cloud), Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

  • 1+ years of experience with Helm.

  • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation and tool development.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and orchestration technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud networking fundamentals.

  • Advanced understanding of monitoring parameters (CPU, memory, load, networking) and tools.

  • Familiarity with security practices, tools, and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to architect multi-region, multi-cloud solutions.

SRE and Incident Management:

  • Deep understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, incident management, and reliability-focused operations.

  • Experience driving technical decisions with significant infrastructure impact.

Development and Tooling:

  • Ability to design and build complex tools tailored for internal engineering teams.

  • Ownership of in-house tools, including coding, documentation, and maintenance.

Problem-Solving and Collaboration:

  • Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and leadership skills to drive cross-functional initiatives.

  • Self-motivated, independent learner with a strong ability to work autonomously.

  • Adaptability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.

Software Development Knowledge:

  • Strong grasp of software development methodologies and best practices.
