Engineering Manager Job Scope and Responsibilities

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product & technical roadmaps and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Leading and mentoring a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Driving the design and architecture that underpin our technology solutions.

• Hands-on involvement in coding, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.

• Conducting regular code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.

• Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization.

• Acting as a technical authority, providing insights into emerging technologies and industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in leading E2E product development

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, with a strong preference for expertise in TypeScript, Node.JS and React.

• Proven track record of leading and delivering complex software projects from conception to production.

• Deep understanding of software architecture, event-driven architecture, design principles, and best practices.

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and containerization technologies.

• Familiarity with workforce, payment systems, or related industries is a plus.

• Experience interfacing with Data Science/Engineering teams while building AI products.

• Experience working with mobile teams building high performing consumer apps.

The salary range for this role is 200-225K DOE.
